Merits
Merits are given through ISAMS when students do exceptional work. There are two types: Academic and Pastoral. Academic merits are given when students do good work in classes. On the other hand, Pastoral merits are given when students accomplish achievements outside of academics, like helping hold a door or volunteering at a festival. If you get 10 merits at the end of the term (3 terms in a year), then you get a bronze certificate; 15 merits earns silver, and you get gold when you get 20 merits. At the end of the entire year, the whole house's merits will be added together to see which house gets the most merits (double points, meaning the winning house will earn 80 points).

Concerns
Concerns are given when students don't behave very well. There are effort concerns, conduct concerns, and language concerns. 2 concerns gets you a detention (see below)
Detentions
Detentions are given when you didn't do your homework, or did something you weren't supposed to do, etc. (it varies from teacher to teacher). They normally take place during the second half of lunch. You have to go to a classroom and do whatever task the teacher sets you (whether it's completing the homework or writing a reflection). There are different levels of detentions, all the way up to principal level detentions, where you sit in a room with the principal and reflect on your actions.
